Spent the afternoon with my awesome grandpa. We spotted this outside Dairy Queen, a Chevy [Edit: Oldsmobile] Cutlass, and then....
...I heard the deep growl of a engine, coming up from behind some buildings. I saw this turn the corner, and just accelerate down the street, making sounds that should give any gear-head wet dreams.

Curious, It definitely said "Chevrolet " on the back, and the wheels said "charger" across them...
Did them share a body with any car?

....which makes me wonder why it said "Chevrolet" right above the bumper on it...

The Chevy Chevelle,
Pontiac GTO,
and Buick Gran Sport shared the A-Body platform with the Olds Cutlass.

That generation of General Motors "A Body" common platform cars, 1968 through 1972, were Buick Skylark, Chevrolet Chevelle/Malibu, Oldsmobile Cutlass, and Pontiac Tempest/LeMans. The trunks were different between the Cutlass and Chevelle. Not sure why it would say Chevrolet. The hood vents don't look original either. Maybe it's owners license to change the car. It does still have the Oldsmobile symbol on the front in the center between the front grills.
Still a cool sighting of two cool cars.

Yep, and the fender had Cutlass on it. It also had tires on it that said 'charger'. My grandpa and I thought it was a charger! Until we had a closer look.

I'm wondering if it was a Chevy Dealer sticker.

Most of the cool cars I have seen, are in this town alone. It's a town in farm country, so a lot of people have older cars, plus it's heavily GM territory, so pride is a must in this area. I need to carry my phone with me at all times....
